MYARTINFO.com is an online network of artists, galleries, collectors and art enthusiasts who come together to chat, exhibit work and share ideas with the art community.
- How do I join?
Joining MYARTINFO.com is a simple, five-step process. To get started, just click the SIGN UP button. After answering a few questions you will have your own myartinfo.com profile and can start sharing your work and meeting other artists.
- What does joining MYARTINFO.com do for me?
When you join MYARTINFO.com a whole network of other artists, collectors and galleries are opened to you. You can explore other artists through chat forums, blogs and artist profiles. Your own work is also made available to galleries, collectors and fellow artists, enabling you to be active and visible in the commercial and intellectual art world.
- Who can see my profile?
MYARTINFO.com is open to any and all artists, art students, collectors, galleries or art lovers.
- How do I tell my friends about MYARTINFO.com?
When you sign up for MYARTINFO.com you will be asked if you want to send messages to friends inviting them to join myartinfo.com. Anyone can join at any time by visiting MYARTINFO.com.
- I'm not an artist, but I am part of the art community, can I still join/ have a profile?
Yes! MYARTINFO.com is not exclusive to artists. Art students, collectors, galleries or anyone interested in contemporary art and artists is invited to join and participate in forums.
Registration and Login:
- How can I change/edit my password/ email/ personal information?
To change or edit anything in your MYARTINFO.com account, simply click on the edit button that appears on your profile page.
- I think that the security of my account has been compromised, what should I do?
If you think that someone other than yourself has been using your profile or accessing your account without your permission, please change your password. If, after changing your password, your feel that your account is still insecure, please email info@myartinfo.com and let us know what's going wrong so that we can fix it.
- I've forgotten my password/ user id
If you forget your password or user id, please click on the FORGOT PASSWORD button on the login page.
- My user id/ password isn't working, what do I do?
First, check your caps lock and keyboard to make sure you are typing your user id or password correctly. If you still can't login, click the FORGOT PASSWORD button on the login page.
- How do I deactivate my account?
If you want to deactivate your account and remove your profile from the myartinfo.com network, click the EDIT button on your "my account" page. There will then be an option to deactivate your account.
- I am a member of a collaborative group as well as a solo artist, can I have multiple profiles?
We realize that many artists work with others and want to share both their collaborative and solo work. Simply create a new profile for your group by typing in the group's name when the SIGN UP prompt asks for artist's name. The group and individual accounts will be totally separate and will have distinct user I.D.'s and passwords for each account.
Art Work and Profile:
- What is the "Artworks" section on my profile?
Artworks is the gallery section of your profile; it is where all of the artwork you have posted will appear. Thumbnails of all your posted work will appear on your profile, as will the number of views each work has had. Simply click on an artwork to see the full image, title, and artist comments.
- Who can see the work I post on my profile?
Your profile will be visible to anyone in the MYARTINFO.com network.
- Can I restrict who can see my work?
If you think that your work may be inappropriate to younger viewers, you can check the "adults only" box when you upload your new artwork.
- How can I be sure that no one is stealing/ copying my work or posting it as their own?
If you believe that someone has posted an unauthorized work, please contact privacy@myartinfo.com immediately.
- How do I post my work on my profile?
To post your work on your profile page, simply click the EDIT button in the Artworks, Videos and Written Works sections.
- Can I put my video work on my profile?
Yes! Please post your video or digital artwork in the Video section, just below Artworks.
- How do I become a featured artist?
The featured artist is chosen based on the number of views his or her artworks receive. Every artist has an opportunity to become a featured artist and have their work displayed on the MYARTINFO.com homepage.
- How do I edit my profile information?
You can edit any of the information posted in your profile by clicking the EDIT button of the section of the profile you which to change.
- How can I add/remove images from my profile?
If you want to add or remove an image or work from your profile, simply click the EDIT button of the section you wish to change. Click the REMOVE button next to the image or work you wish to remove. Click the UPLOAD NEW ARTWORK button to add images or works to your gallery.
- How do I edit/add a title or caption to an image?
After clicking the EDIT button of the Artworks section, you will be able to edit the text accompanying each posted image.
- I don't want someone to see my work/ post on my message board, can I block them from my profile?
Your profile will be visible to anyone on the MYARTINFO.com network, and anyone can post a comment on your profile. If, however, you don't want the comments made to be visible you can click the HIDE COMMENTS button on your profile.
- How can I put a link on my profile page?
As you answer questions for your "About the Artist" section of your profile, you will be given the opportunity to add a link to your homepage and it will appear in your profile.
- I've edited/ changed my profile but the changes aren't showing up, what should I do?
If you are logged into your profile and the changes you want to make aren't appearing, please email info@myartinfo.com. Let us know what's going wrong so that we can fix it for you.
- Can I post my resume/ exhibition history on my profile?
After you sign up with MYARTINFO.com you can begin to personalize your profile page. The "About the Artist" section is an ideal place to post your resume and exhibition information.
Favorite Artists and other MYARTINFO.com features:
- How do I add/feature artists on my profile page?
When you find another artist on MYARTINFO.com whose work you really like, you can click "add as a favorite artist" located directly below the profile picture. As soon as you add it, the work of your new favorite artist will appear in your "favorite artists" section on your own profile.
- How do I remove a favorite artist?
Once you've added an artist to your "favorite artists" section, when you visit that artist's page the option to add them as a favorite will be replaced with an option to remove them from your favorites list.
- How can I let people in my area know that I have a show coming up?
The best way to get the word out about your upcoming show is through our chat rooms and MYARTINFO.com's WIKI. You can also post the show or exhibition information in your profile.
- How can I find collectors/ galleries in my area?
You can find full listings of galleries, collectors and museums on our sister site, ARTINFO.com
