thanks for your kind encouragement. i've departed from our usual palette of colours and have attacked this new canvas in black and white. it will be a dual portrait of my lover and i. he loved my work but delighted in blakc and white; perhaps his affinity for piano keyboards and sheet music. he was definitely the black keys on the board, i was the white; really, his background for music as he was the background for my painting life.

thanks for the insightful comment from way back apr 23. i have been busy painting and living until today. the subject of much of my work has been my lover who died early wednesday morning may 7. i love your colours and your shapes. i wish at this very moment i could pick up a brush and dare to squeeze those brilliant hues out onto a fresh canvas but at the moment all is black.
