2006 -07, tracing paper with black and red Micron pen. Catalyst begins by covering a three foot section of the tracing paper surface with 489 rubber bands, tracing the interior and exterior forms in black ink. The paper is advanced another three feet and one rubber band is removed, 488 are traced in black ink and one traced in red ink. The process of advancing, eliminating one rubber band, and tracing in black and red ink continues on approximately 300 feet of rolled tracing paper. Density of the tracings decrease as the number of red rubber band tracings increase. Each session is audio recorded and dated. Display is with listening stations and the length of the drawing can vary based on the space. Dimensions: Two 18 x (aprox.)1800 inch scrolls.
