Victor Rojas at the 12th Annual D.U.M.B.O. Art Under the Bridge Festival the end of this month in Brooklyn!

Featuring Victor Alexis Rojas Gleason’s Gym will close on September 26-28 for training and will open as an artists’ gallery. Founded in 1997, the Art Under the Bridge Festival offers artists a chance to play, experiment with ideas and interact with thousands of visitors in the neighborhood of DUMBO, Brooklyn. One of our locals, pen and ink illustrator, Victor Alexis Rojas, who recently did the Atlantic Avenue ArtWalk, will be featured.

Brooklyn, NY, August 28, 2008 – Since its founding in 1997, the Art Under the Bridge Festival has become the largest urban forum for experimental art in the United States. The Dumbo Arts Center's role as producer means securing permits, providing insurance, collaborating with local building management and community partners. Through advertising campaigns in subway stations, local media and billboard postings throughout New York City, we have the attention of 150,000 visitors. Prints and programs are also distributed and provide Festival signage.

The Festival provides exposure opportunity for artists and allows for unprecedented creative freedom in public space. An artist in our local area, Victor Rojas, will be showcasing a few of his pieces on the weekend of September 26-28. His use of pen and ink demonstrate his talent and unique style.
